PATH

Path, LED light & Acrylic plastic sheet,
I got encouragement from my design professor when I was anxious before graduating. She told me that whatever path you choose will be the right one for you, and paths are seldom straight, so be open to where the path leads you. As the best wish to myself, I made this sculpture lovely, positively, and hopefully. I want to express my simple and unadorned love for art through this work. My love for art has influenced me to keep learning and exploring in the field. I am aware that every experience is valuable and adds up to a mountain.
As a site-specific work of art, “Path” was located in the entrance of a hallway. People passing by will first encounter the piece from the side. They will see the overlapping lights before seeing the ordinary source: three simple separate lights. The configuration on the wall is straight forward but also aesthetically pleasing. The lights are not trying to be anything other than what they are. The magic is in the simplicity of the effect: one color projected onto another in the reflection.
